Cars in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Around fifty automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm police.

Cars, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, in some cases with swastikas, they announced in a release.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a individual noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they stated.

Officers then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public display of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state early analysis show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; officials are currently not informed of any injuries in relation with the incident," they added.

Municipal representatives said they were attempting "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the public for details.

A high-ranking political figure stated the attack rendered him without words and required to be addressed promptly.

"This incident strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he stated on social media, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a shooter targeting people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
